Merritt's Pasture Engagement Session in Chapel Hill, NC
If you’re looking for location ideas for your Chapel Hill engagement session, I highly recommend Merritt’s Pasture as one of the best spots. It’s about a 15 minute walk to reach the open fields that make up the pasture, but the views are absolutely stunning and so worth it. If you’re dressing up, I recommend bringing an extra pair of comfy shoes to wear during your walk and then changing into your photoshoot shoes after!
E and A were doing a summertime engagement session and they wanted natural, candid photos to capture their relationship. Merritt’s Pasture was the obvious choice and they were so happy with how their photos turned out. Most of my engagement sessions take place in Raleigh where I’m located, so it was so much fun heading over to Chapel Hill for a change of scenery. E and A are such a laid back and sweet couple, so I’m excited to be photographing their wedding at the NC Botanical Garden this fall. We got there right as the sun was starting to settle down behind the trees, so the lighting was gold and beautiful. Towards the end of their engagement session, they even popped a bottle of champagne which contrasted so well with the natural elements around us and made everything even more fun.
